I am fascinated by all of the natural sciences. Some of my other defining characteristics are: a love of books and literature, enjoyment of the natural world in all its splendor, and a tendency toward absent-mindedness.
Since I am better at learning and explaining scientific ideas than at doing science, I originally hoped to make a career of teaching or explaining science. I am now less certain of my future. To avoid the hassle of certification, I might end up working with a private school or organization.
Another possibility is that I will find a more technically oriented job, working with computers, science, or engineering. This could be temporary or long-term.
Working at YMCA Camp Eberhardt last summer was great experience. I enjoyed working with children and young adults, teaching them astronomy and rocket-building.
I currently work as a mail clerk at The Scriber's Inc. (TSI), a company in northwest Lansing that provides customer service for various companies.
