Dan Simkin

Daniel Ian Simkin

I am fascinated by all of the natural sciences. Some of my other defining characteristics are: a love of books and literature, enjoyment of the natural world in all its splendor, and a tendency toward absent-mindedness.

Since I am better at learning and explaining scientific ideas than at doing science, I originally hoped to make a career of teaching or explaining science. I am now less certain of my future. To avoid the hassle of certification, I might end up working with a private school or organization.

Another possibility is that I will find a more technically oriented job, working with computers, science, or engineering. This could be temporary or long-term.

Working at YMCA Camp Eberhardt last summer was great experience. I enjoyed working with children and young adults, teaching them astronomy and rocket-building.

I currently work as a mail clerk at The Scriber's Inc. (TSI), a company in northwest Lansing that provides customer service for various companies.

Below are listed links to several sites on the Web that interest me.

Potential employers take note! Everything on this web page was written by me, including the guestbook....

I have listed books that I like (or have recently read) in a separate reference.

I have created a scrapbook with pictures of family, friends, and pets.
